Our Area

The Highley Electoral Division covers Highley, Billingsley, Middleton Scriven, Glazeley and Deuxhill.

Centred around the village of Highley, the division spans a largely rural area of scattered hamlets, farmland, and woodland, bordered by the winding River Severn.

With just 2.2 people per hectare, it offers a peaceful escape with a strong sense of community and connection to nature.

Things to See & Do

Highley is home to a Severn Valley Railway station and The Engine House Visitor Centre, where visitors can enjoy heritage steam trains, stunning views, and historic locomotives.

The station has featured in several period dramas, highlighting the village’s nostalgic charm.

 

The division also includes Country Park Halt, a request stop for the Severn Valley Country Park, offering 126 acres of trails, picnic areas, and wildlife.

Road links to Bridgnorth make the area accessible, but it retains its peaceful, rural character.
